Viktor Schreckengost

Born in Sebring, Ohio, in 1906, Viktor Schreckengost was immersed in ceramics from an early age, participating in weekly sculpture contests with his brothers, who also became ceramicists. He graduated from the Cleveland School of the Arts in 1929 and, with a partial scholarship and a loan, studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Vienna.
