Wilhelm Trübner

Wilhelm Trübner was born in Heidelberg, Germany, in 1851. Initially training as a goldsmith, he was encouraged by classicist painter Anselm Feuerbach to pursue painting. This led him to the Kunstschule in Karlsruhe in 1867, and then to the Kunstacademie in Munich in 1869.
