Born in Livorno in 1859, Vittorio Matteo Corcos embarked on his artistic journey by training at the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence under Enrico Pollastrini, and later with Domenico Morelli in Naples. His early career took a significant turn when he moved to Paris, a vibrant artistic hub.
