Ventura Salimbeni

Born Ventura di Archangelo Salimbeni in Siena in 1568, this prolific Italian artist, later known as Cavalieri Bevilacqua, began his artistic journey studying alongside his half-brother Francesco Vanni under their father, Arcangelo Salimbeni. His early career took him to Rome in 1588, where he contributed to fresco paintings in the Vatican Library under Pope Sixtus V.
