ABOUT

Philip van Dijk, born in Amsterdam in 1683, began his artistic journey studying under Arnold Boonen before moving to Rotterdam to train with the renowned Adriaen van der Werff. This classical training laid the groundwork for his refined style. After marrying in Rotterdam in 1708, he quickly established himself, becoming a member of the Guild of St. Luke in Middelburg the same year.
