ABOUT

Born in Cleveland in 1856 to a German-descended family, Otto Henry Bacher began his artistic journey as a decorative painter before formal studies with De Scott Evans and a brief stint at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. He quickly became involved in Cleveland's burgeoning art scene, joining the Art Club and studying etching with Sion Longley Wenban.
