Louis Lozowick (1892–1973) was a Ukrainian-born American painter and printmaker, celebrated for his distinctive Art Deco and Precisionist style. Born in Liudvynivka, Russian Empire, he moved to Kiev as a child and began his art education there before immigrating to the United States in 1906. He continued his studies at the National Academy of Design in New York and Ohio State University, becoming fluent in English alongside his native Ukrainian, Russian, and Yiddish. Lozowic…
