ABOUT

Born into a family of cotton mill operators in Fischamend, Austria, Emil Jakob Schindler faced early challenges, losing his father at age four and moving to Pressburg with his mother. Despite initially preparing for a military career, which he briefly pursued, Schindler ultimately found his calling in art.
