ABOUT

Born in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, in 1859, Elliott Daingerfield was raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina, the son of a Confederate Army captain. At the age of 21, he embarked on his artistic journey, moving to New York to study under Walter Satterlee in 1880. He quickly advanced, becoming an instructor in Satterlee's still life class and further honing his skills at the Art Students' League.
