Dwight William Tryon

Born in Hartford, Connecticut, in 1849, Dwight William Tryon's early life was marked by the loss of his father and being raised on his grandparents' farm. His artistic journey began informally, studying art manuals from a bookstore where he worked and sketching the Connecticut countryside.
