Adolf Ulrik Wertmüller was a prominent Swedish painter, born in Stockholm in 1751. His artistic journey began with studies at home before he moved to Paris in 1772. There, he honed his skills under the tutelage of his cousin, Alexander Roslin, and the French painter Joseph-Marie Vien, immersing himself in the Neoclassical style.
