Peter Hurd

Born in Roswell, New Mexico, Peter Hurd initially followed a military path before realizing his true calling was painting. After attending the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, he became a private pupil of the renowned illustrator N. C. Wyeth in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. It was there he met and later married Wyeth's daughter, Henriette Wyeth, an accomplished painter in her own right. Together, they forged a powerful artistic partnership.
