Jenny Holzer

Born in Ohio in 1950, Jenny Holzer initially pursued abstract painting before finding her voice in language-based art. After studying at Duke, the University of Chicago, Ohio University, and the Rhode Island School of Design, she moved to Manhattan in 1976.
