Jan Wyck

Jan Wyck, born in Haarlem in 1645, was a Dutch Baroque painter who made an indelible mark on British art, particularly in the genre of military subjects. The son of painter Thomas Wyck, Jan likely learned his craft from his father, who had refined an Italianate style during his time in Rome.
