George Du Maurier

Born in Paris in 1834, George Louis Palmella Busson du Maurier's early life was marked by a family history he later discovered was more modest than he was led to believe. He initially pursued art studies in Paris and Antwerp, where he unfortunately lost vision in his left eye. This early setback, however, didn't deter his artistic ambition.
