Born Donna Ivy Faske in Queens, New York City, Donna Karan was immersed in the world of fashion from an early age. Her mother was a model and worked in a designer showroom, while her father was a tailor and haberdasher. This early exposure to fabric, design, and the garment industry undoubtedly shaped her future path.
