Born in Haarlem around 1591, Cornelis Hendriksz Vroom inherited a passion for art from his father, the renowned marine painter Hendrick Cornelisz Vroom. Following in his father's footsteps, Cornelis became a celebrated landscape painter during the Dutch Golden Age.
