Adrian Heath

Born in Burma in 1920, Adrian Heath's journey into art began with studies under Stanhope Forbes in Newlyn and later at the Slade School of Art. His life took a dramatic turn during World War II when he served as a tail gunner in the RAF and spent almost the entire war as a prisoner of war at Stalag 383. It was during this challenging period that he forged a friendship with fellow POW Terry Frost, even teaching him to paint. After the war, Heath's artistic career flourished.…
